NEW WINERY IN STOCK	Erna Schein is a boutique winery in the truest sense. Owned by Les Behrens and Lisa Drinkward, who’ve made wine under the Behrens & Hitchcock label since 1993, Erna Schein produces small lots of six or seven wines a year at its winery perched high on top of Spring Mountain in Napa Valley. Each wine is a low tech labor of love: crushed into one-ton T-bins, punched down by hand, gently transferred to barrel, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. One only has to look at Les and Lisa’s hands during harvest to know their wines are truly “hand-crafted.”
The couple also gravitates toward small, interesting and low-yielding vineyard sites, primarily in Napa Valley and Mendocino County, working with growers who they know, like and trust, and who are as obsessive about quality as they are. For Les and Lisa, it’s all about lettingthe vineyards steal the show, and allowing the wines to speak for themselves
	2006 Knock Out Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Dare we say, the Knock Out delivers a powerful 1 - 2 punch. Up front, this wine is big and bold with aromas of all spice and clove. Round 2: the mid-palate is thick with flavors of chocolate, blueberries, espresso and plum cake. This all rounds into a pretty finish of cedar and vanilla. Throw in the towel, and drink it ‘til you hit the mat! 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot. 350 Cases produced.
	2006 Everything But... The Kitchen Sink California Red Wine True to it’s name the 2006 Kitchen Sink is a creative blend of various lots which come together to make a beautifully balance wine. With a saturated, dense purple/black color, it is full of spicy aromas of vanilla and cinnamon toast. Flavors of cassis, chocolate, plums and other chewy dark fruit flavors coat your mouth and linger into a supple, round finish. 44% Syrah, 29% Petite Sirah, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot. 395 Cases produced.
	2006 Spare Me Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2006 Spare Me, a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot, exhibits a gorgeous, deep garnet color. The wine jumps out of the glass with a nose of orchids, violets and Asian spice. With beautifully balanced acidity and lush integrated tannins, flavors of blueberry, red raspberry and resin are all wrapped up in a long vanillin finish. 380 Cases produced.
	2006 Cemetery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley The 2006 Cemetery again comes from one of our favorite ’plots’ in St. Helena. The wine exudes aromas of coffee, violets, earth and minerals. With a dark garnet color and a brooding but balanced richness. Silky tannins lead to focused flavors of raspberry cordial, cassis and smoky spice. It’s to die for! 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Merlot. 370 Cases produced.
